You brought a life into this world. Now let yours be tended to.

  • Casa Mama walks you from the earliest days after birth through your full postpartum recovery. We offer Sobada de Matriz and Cerrada de Cadera — traditional and hip care practices rooted in Mayan ancestral medicine — alongside small-batch herbal preparations and personalized postpartum nutrition, offered by a certified sobadora and Registered Dietitian. Every service is timed to honor where your body actually is. We also welcome all women seeking to reconnect with their womb through these sacred traditions.

Sobada de matriz

Sobada de Matriz is a traditional Mayan womb care practice passed down through generations of healers across Mexico and Central America. Through gentle abdominal work, practioners — known as sobadoras — support the natural alignment of the uterus, improve circulation, release pelvic tension, and invite the body into deep restoration.

‍ ‍It is not massage, it is ceremony. It is a conversation between practitioner and womb.

At Casa Mama, every session is offered with reverence for the lineage this practice comes from, and deep respect for the woman receiving it.

cerrada de cadera

A traditional postpartum closing ceremony designed to support a woman physically, emotionally, and energetically after birth. Using rebozo wrapping, warmth, massage, and intentional care, Cerrada de Cadera helps mothers feel grounded, nurtured, and restored during one of life’s most transformative seasons.

This sacred practice is not only for immediate postpartum healing — many women also seek it years after birth to reconnect with their bodies and support long-overdue recovery.

Herbal Care

Gentle herbal support rooted in traditional healing practices to nurture women through postpartum and every stage beyond. From teas and warming remedies to restorative herbal care rituals, our approach is centered on comfort, nourishment, and holistic wellness for body, mind, and womb.

postpartum nutrition

Nutrition guidance designed to support healing, recovery, hormone balance, energy, and overall wellness during postpartum and beyond. At Casa Mama, nutrition is approached through traditional postpartum wisdom of classic Ayurveda, Traditional Chinese Medicine, and Mayan traditional foods with modern holistic care to help mothers feel replenished, supported, and nourished from within.

casa Mama was built For the postpartum mother

The weeks and months after birth are among the most physically and emotionally demanding of a woman’s life— and among the most under-supported. We are here to change that.

Our complete care model addresses what your body needs to recover: womb realignment, tissue healing, mineral replenishment, nourishment guidance and the kind of touch that says you are not alone in this.

WE ALSO WELCOME ALL WOMEN SEEKING WOMB CARE

Sobadas de Matriz Cerradas de Cadera, nutrition and herbal care support women at every life stage — those navigating painful periods, hormonal imbalance, fertility journeys, or a deep desire to reconnect with their womb. Postpartum care is our primary focus. Womb wellness is our broader calling.

  • Why Nutrition Matters Postpartum

Birth depletes the body in ways that takes months — sometimes years — to recover from without intentional nourishment. Iron, calcium, zinc, omega-3s, and key amino acids are all drawn upon heavily during pregnancy and lactation. Most postpartum woman are running on empty.

As a Registered Dietitian, Alejandra creates postpartum nourishment menus that go beyond generic advice. Drawing form both evidence-based nutrition science and traditional postpartum food wisdom — warming foods, mineral rich broths, galactagogues for milk supply — her nutrition plans are designed to replenish the mother from the inside out.

  • The Casa Mama Approach

We believe the postpartum period is sacred — not a problem to manage, but a threshold to be honored. The 40 days after birth, recognized across cultures as a time of deep healing and protected rest, deserve more than the world currently offers new mothers.

Every service, every herb, every meal plan we offer is designed with one intention: to help the mother return to herself - healed, nourished, and held.
